Happy #manimonday everyone! Let’s get into this week’s green and black woven look!

Products used:

Stamping plate: Born Pretty “BP-L003”
Stamping polish: Born Pretty “BP-WN03 Throne”
Base: Essie base coat, “Blanc” and “Turquoise & Caicos”

Occasionally in life, the support worker wheels just fall off. Last week was one of those weeks, so this week my mum did my nails. She used to do them at the very beginning when I got my first stamping plates but as she likes to say “she’s not paid enough” so the task got given to my support workers.

This weekend I had nothing on. Mum said I should do something different and this design was actually her idea.

It turned out quite well but Mum did pick one of the hardest patterns as this plate’s images are on the smaller side, so you don’t have much room for error. Straight lines are also hard as sometimes they distort when placed on the nail. All in all, it was a good design but I don’t think it’s one of my favourites, maybe due to the colour combination or because the black overpowers the green. What are your thoughts?

If I was to use this image again, I would use a light brown base and dark brown stamping colour to make it look like a basket. Teamed with a feature nail of food, this could be a cute design, especially for a picnic.

A quick tip with some of the Essie colours too is that they’re quite transparent, so a white base is definitely needed to make sure the colour pops as I did with this design.

Bye for now!
