Happy #manimonday everyone! Let’s get into this week’s horse design!

Top coat: Opi Australia “Rapid Dry Top Coat”
Horse nails mean that one of my horses was racing and this weekend it was The Velvet King, who came third in his race. He’ll have two more runs in the next four weeks, so expect to see a few more horsey designs.
Surprisingly, horse themed stamping plates are quite hard to find, so I was very happy when I came across this Clear Jelly Stamper plate. Unfortunately, some of the designs on that plate are a bit too big for my nails, so I tend to go with this horse or one of the quotes from the plate. There is a technique where you can shrink a design, but my support worker and I haven‘t try it properly (we tried quickly last week but it didn’t work). I was also lucky that the Lina Nail Art Supplies plate, that I already had, also has a silhouette horse design, which is a perfect accompaniment for when I do a feature nail like in this look. You’ll see these plates feature a lot in my horse themed nail looks.
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile now, you’ll know that I’ve been having some trouble with my Hit the Bottle stamping polishes. However, I’m happy to report that for some unknown reason we hardly had any trouble this week. There were a few pickups that weren’t good enough to stamp (mostly the horse silhouette legs not working) but there’s barely a week where we get 100% perfect pickups. I’m not sure why the polished worked this week and not others, but it could have been the deeper etched plates or even the weather, who knows. I’ll be interested to try my other Hit the Bottle colours on these plates and see if they work.
Bye for now!
