Confidence rating
There is a sense of carnival time in the air with the races this weekend! Outside of the two-year-old and three-year-old races which don’t have a lot of form around them, races 4 and 6 look to be even while I’d avoid races 7 and 9. For race 9, there’s definitely value to be found given how even it is. In terms of my horses, Masamune is first up in race 7. This is definitely a step up in class for him, as evident by the drop of 5kg in the weights. He’s shown glimpses of ability and will need to perform at his best here. Second up is The Velvet Queen who is first up in race 8. Her trials probably haven’t been her best but her first up record is great (5:2-2-1) and she’ll only improve off this run. Fingers cross that it’s a winning day all round!
