Confidence rating

It looks to be another great day of racing! Races 6 and 7 look to be even, I’d avoid race 5 and race 9 looks to be a battle between my top two tips. Madhi Girl in race 1 looks to have a lot of ability, but in a race that doesn’t have a lot of form surrounding it, her odds are very short.

In terms of The Velvet Queen, I honestly think her odds are a touch over. There’s no doubt that she’ll appreciate the step up in distance, plus she finished second to Alsephina over 1800 in G3 La Trice at Ascot. She’s also finished second to Bustler in the G3 Belmont Sprint, with these two horses finished first and second in the Railway. My biggest concerns are how the track is going to play, especially if one, she gets back, and two, if there’s a breeze. Zaaki has drawn just inside of us, so in an ideal world, she’d settle midfield, then peel off his back at the top of the straight and unleash her great turn of foot. Zaaki with his form and Alsephia with her luck and barrier makes them tough competition and probably the ones to beat in my opinion.
