Confidence rating
There are a few interesting races today with horses that theoretically should be winning given their form, but a given the weather and quality of these races, it could result in some upsets. Races 3 and 8 look like ones to avoid. Both my top tips are quality horses, but Alsephina is back after a long break, and you never know what might happen with three year olds that don’t have a lot of form. Races 1, 4, 5 and 9 also look to be even. In terms of my horses, Protégé in race 6 does step up in class but drops 6kg off last start’s run where he only finished 1.2L off the winner and at his first race in over 12 months. Weaponson in race 8also didn’t finish that far off the winner last start. He has run into a few handy horses and there’s certainly plenty of them here again in this race, but I’ll be looking for him to improve.
